Data Architect

A vacancy has arisen within our IT department for a Data Architect. Who will be responsible for ownership of database design and standards, along with defining and directing data separation, transformation and migration strategy. This role will involve significant contribution towards the overall database strategy. You will be expected to own the database designs on large scale projects, define and roll out relevant processes and procedures according to industry best practice, and provide input and guidance to individual development team’s design discussions.

 Key Responsibilities;

• Establish, define and implement an integrated Data Strategy across all Company information systems.
• Define and implement standardised database processes across multiple product teams.
• You will be required to contribute to overall technical strategy to ensure industry best practice is followed in database designs/standards.
• Determine define and produce data migration roadmap for transition from current state to future state, factoring in dependencies and needs within and across functional/process areas.
• Prepare technical plans for the transformation processes and monitor timescales.

Skill Requirements;

• Demonstrable track record of designing and building enterprise-strength database systems.
• Broad technical knowledge of database systems, techniques and industry trends.
• Experience in data migration/separation on large scale systems.
• Knowledge and experience with large data conversion and separation projects, data analytical tools, and Oracle database is required.
