IT Product & Development are looking to recruit a Java Lead Developer to join the team.
The role will involve undertaking requirement analysis, specification, development, testing, maintenance and delivery of robust and maintainable software systems and to provide support and assistance on these systems to other members of the development team and users as required.
You will be responsible for specific projects ensuring communication and regularly liaison with users takes place together with ensuring all software is delivered to standard, budget, schedule and expectation.
Key responsibilities will include providing ownership and drive on development approaches and technical standards; personally deliver and co-ordinate others to develop structured and maintainable software within an AGILE or waterfall development model; plan, monitor and review own workload and that of others and report progress; provide a point of initial escalation on technical issues and estimates; contribute to overall project and programme planning; delegate responsibilities and tasks as appropriate within development team.
The ideal candidate will have experience of full software development life-cycle coupled with good business process knowledge and excellent communication skills. As well as a proven track record in a similar demanding development role you will develop solutions to the highest standards. Your Development skills will include: Java, SQL (ideally Oracle PL/SQL), XHTML, CSS, Spring incorporating Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring WS and Spring AOP, Tomcat, Ajax and Subversion.
