Technical Team Leader

IT Service and Support are looking to recruit a Technical Team Leader. You will be required to provide hands-on technical support, enabling the delivery of IT services whilst working professionally, diligently and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. You will provide technical leadership, management support and guidance to the team ensuring that all staff receives appropriate levels of training. This role is also a conduit for the delivery of technical change as well as supporting the delivery of releases into the live environment to ensure minimal service disruption.

Key Responsibilities;

• To promote a service centric team with the aim of delivering high quality service.
• Lead technical reviews and contribute technically to solutions.
• Continual Service Improvement along with recommendations for cost saving through improved processes, planning, monitoring and reviews of resource capacity and performance.
• Manage attendance, productivity, development and progression of the team.
• To provide management information and represent the team at service reviews.

Skill Requirements;

• A strong track record and the ability to demonstrate experience in a customer facing technical environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills are required.
• Demonstrable contract/supplier management experience.
• Working knowledge of VMware, VSphere, Linux – Redhat, Exchange 2003-2010 (MCP), MS SQL Server are essential.
• Knowledge of Oracle environments & databases, Unix – AIX, firewalls and mobile technologies would be advantageous.
