Successful twice at 1m 1f on polytrack. Won on his latest outing when 5-6fav here over 1m 1f in February, beating Luctor Emergo by 1l. Has won twice at Wolverhampton this season.
Za'lan doesn't look the most straightforward of rides and, after blowing his chances with a tardy start on debut at Southwell, was turned over at cramped odds in a Lingfield maiden before scraping home by a neck at that same venue latest. He's been handed a moderate rating as a result but a safer option appears to be GABRIAL'S KING, who has already made his mark twice in handicaps and promises to improve further over this stiffer trip. C&D winner Excellent News makes more appeal than King's Wharf, who has been held off similar marks in a handicap previously.
