BATTLE GROUP enjoyed his finest moment over hurdles when winning at this meeting last year and it's interesting to see his chase mark is now the same as for that success. Eased 1lb following a creditable fourth behind Thursday's Betfred Bowl third Hunt Ball over 2m5f at Cheltenham last month, he looks a good bet going back up to 3m1f this afternoon. Much further down the weights, Marufo and My Boy Paddy make plenty of appeal. The former beat Niche Market to a big prize at Newbury last month and should go well again off his 7lb higher rating, while Nigel Twiston-Davies' representative is an improving novice who won well at Chepstow but the son of Accordion may need deeper ground to be been seen at his best. The Hollinwell is fairly treated on his Rehearsal Chase second to Hey Big Spender at Newcastle in November and could run a big race if getting on with his new jockey.
