Race Verdict
An intriguing finale, in which progressive Flat performers Dragonera and Lordofthehouse take on LOCAL HERO and Grumeti, both of whom are smart NH sorts. It may be best to concentrate on the latter pair and Alan King's inmate boasts the best jumping form following his Triumph Hurdle third and 4-Y-O Anniversary Hurdle success at Aintree, but he needs to improve on his previous form on the level and therefore preference is for the Steve Gollings-trained four-year-old. After being caught behind a wall of horses, he was a very unlucky loser when beaten less than a length in a good Newmarket handicap last week and races off the same mark today.
