R J Hodges
He has won a NH flat race and two chases from 2m 4f to 3m 2f on ground varying from firm to good. Finished 17l behind Double Chocolate when fourth of 7 at 12-1 on his latest outing in a chase at Newton Abbot over 3m 2f (good) last month.
The Clyda Rover returned to the winner's enclosure over C&D two weeks ago and warrants respect off a 7lb higher rating but it might be worth siding with HOBB'S DREAM, who has been eased 6lb in the weights for his latest effort at Exeter, when a well-held fourth over 3m. Neil Mulholland's charge showed at Wincanton in March that he relishes a stern stamina test and, off 3lb higher, he looks handicapped to strike again soon. Monty's Revenge appeals most of the remainder.
