Race Verdict
Two appearances earlier this term indicate that Spartan Spirit is better than ever at four years of age and he should be in the thick of things today, but SAIL HOME is marginally preferred under the jockey who won this contest in 2007 and 2010. Julia Fielden's mare looked as well as ever when third in a similar race over C&D just short of three weeks ago (fifth has won since) and should go extremely close off this 1lb higher mark. Mustajed is 2lb lower than when winning this event last year and cannot be ruled out either.
