MASHAARI built upon a moderate debut effort at Newbury when upped to this trip at Newmarket, going down by less than a length behind the well-regarded stable companion Shantaram. There appears nothing of that calibre in opposition this afternoon and a reproduction of that latest effort would probably be enough for John Gosden's charge to land the spoils. Swnymor rattled the crossbar over this trip at Haydock last time and appears to be the main danger. Money for Sir Henry Cecil's newcomer, Crystal Monarch, would also be interesting.
