Sir Michael Stoute has proven adept at targeting this race and last year's winner Crystal Capella was his fourth winner in the last seven years. His Fiorente thus commands respect, but he has plenty to find with RED CADEAUX on their recent Hardwicke running and the latter, winner of the Yorkshire Cup in May (Harris Tweed back in third), looks capable of making his presence felt if mounting his challenge a little sooner this afternoon. Dandino would come into contention if the ground dried out but that is probably unlikely given recent weather patterns and Jakkalberry, whose Italian form suggests slow ground will not inconvenience, may be capable of narrowing the five length margin that split him and the selection when fifth at Ascot latest.
