CHANGING THE GUARD won with any amount in hand at Uttoxeter last week and a 7lb penalty shouldn't be enough to stop him following up if reproducing that level of performance. Red Riverman looks an obvious danger on the back of his workmanlike victory over C&D, while Stravita, the mount of McCoy, and handicap debutant Bingo Des Mottes, are others to consider in what looks a fairly competitive opener.
