Fiercely competitive fare in which advised stakes should be kept to a minimum. Royal Ascot appears to have thrown up plenty of pointers and on the basis of its Group 2 classification, the Norfolk Stakes is expected to provide the winner in the shape of GALE FORCE TEN. The Ballydoyle representative finished second overall (Ahern back in fifth) but 'won' his race on the far side, keeping on well in the closing stages to suggest this extra furlong would be ideal if avoiding another track bias. Windsor Castle second Alhebayeb shaped as if 6f would be right up his street and looks the main danger as Sir Prancealot failed to land a blow in the closing stages over this trip when fourth in the Coventry and Chilworth Icon, fifth in the Chesham, has only recently returned from a successful raid in Italy and may need a shade more time to get over those exertions.
