Fagan flies the flag for Elliott in Scottish National as Folsom Blue misses out

Gordon Elliott's Folsom Blue was a notable absentee among the final declarations for Saturday's Coral Scottish Grand National at Ayr.

Unlucky in the Irish National on Easter Monday, the drying ground this week has not been in his favour and the rejuvenated 11-year-old will stay at home.

Elliott, who won the Irish National with General Principle and was successful with Tiger Roll at Aintree last week, will be represented by Fagan, although he has not been seen since chasing home Black Corton at Cheltenham in October.

Nicky Henderson, who famously has never won a Grand National in any country, runs top-weight Gold Present and Beware The Bear.

Vicente is bidding to join an elite list who have won the race three times, while Vintage Clouds will run in the same Trevor Hemmings colours as he tries to make up for missing the cut at Aintree.

Nigel Twiston-Davies runs the novice Ballyoptic and last year's placed horses Cogry and Benbens, while Colin Tizzard sends Sizing Codelco, Sizing Tennessee and West Approach.

Regal Flow and Glencairn View are others to note in a maximum field of 30, with Racing Europe and Portrait King the two reserves.
