Richard Spencer believes Rajasinghe will head to Newmarket a "fresh horse" when he takes the plunge in the Qipco 2000 Guineas.

The Choisir colt, who won the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot as a juvenile, will not run before the colts' Classic on May 5, but he delighted connections in a racecourse gallop at Newmarket on Wednesday.

Spencer said: "We've just been trying to get him away and put an edge on him before the Guineas.

"The plan has always been to give him a racecourse gallop prior to running there.

"Our bubble hasn't been burst yet. We're going there a fresh horse and the horse has shown he prefers running on better ground."

Stablemate Keyser Soze caught the eye in the Spring Cup at Newbury on Saturday, when a close third to Taqdeer.

He will now be kept on ice until Royal Ascot.

The Newmarket handler told Racing UK's Luck on Sunday show: "He travelled through the race like the good horse we always thought he was.

"We wouldn't be getting him out quickly. I think he'll hopefully go straight to the Hunt Cup."
