Goffs UK Managing Director Tony Williams commented on the 2017 Goffs UK Silver Yearling Sale catalogue: “We saw greater demand for places in the Silver Sale this year but we took a more selective approach when compiling this catalogue and really focused on the individual, like we have done for many years with the Premier Sale. That has meant a slight downturn on the number catalogued last year but the end result is a catalogue of 149 athletic, precocious yearlings.

“This sale has proven its ability to produce Group 1 winners – its latest elite graduate the reigning Cartier Champion Sprinter and dual Group 1 winner Quiet Reflection. It has made a good start to the season with it’s two-year-olds, two of which have won at Stakes level, so it’s certainly a performing sale and one that is very quickly gaining traction with domestic and international buyers.”
