Vibrant Trade Throughout Part 1 of Goffs Land Rover Sale

Vibrant trade throughout yesterday’s Part 1 of Goffs Land Rover Sale resulted in an 84% clearance rate, average of €42,494 and a top lot of €185,000.

Oak Tree Farm’s Storm Of Light (Lot 255), a three year old son of Network from the family of Grade 1 performers Fleur D’Ainay and Crystal D’ainay took top spot when selling for €185,000 to the day’s leading purchasers, Aidan O’Ryan and Gordon Elliott.  The duo also acquired Castletown Quarry Stud’s Kalanisi half-brother to this year’s Grade 1 Weatherbys Champion Bumper winner Ferny Hollow (159) for €135,000 as well as another from the Oak Tree Farm draft in Deja Rouge (Lot 216), a son of No Risk At All, for €130,000.

The second highest price of the day went for Authorised Speed (Lot 243), an Authorised gelding out of multiple Listed winner Tangaspeed, purchased by Gallagher Bloodstock and Russell Mac Nabb for €155,000.

More highlights on the opening day of the Land Rover included Clifton Farm’s Buck’s Boum gelding Hezek (Lot 270) who was knocked down to Margaret O’Toole in partnership with Tom Malone for €120,000, while MV Magnier earlier went to €100,000 for Stone Lodge Stud’s Soldier Of Fortune brother to Grade 2 performer Gold Present (Lot 181).
