Fledgling Newmarket trainer George Scott celebrated his first winner from just his third runner as Cajoled scored on her debut at Kempton.

Running in the first division of the Download The Betdaq App/EBF Stallions Maiden Fillies' Stakes, the Niarchos family-owned juvenile quickened up nicely to score by a length and a half in the hands of Pat Cosgrave.

"She was impressive and I'm very grateful to the Niarchos family for supporting me," said Scott, whose first two runners finished second.

"We thought a mile might just be on the short side for her but she picked up really nicely and hit the line really well.

"I've got a really great team and some lovely horses.

"I'm really grateful for all the support, I'm very lucky.

"My first two runners were second, so to get the monkey off my back so early is a big relief."

Scott has worked for Paul Nicholls, Mark Tompkins and Michael Bell as well as a spell in America.

He had spent the last two years as assistant to Lady Cecil at Warren Place and when she announced her intention to quit, Scott made plans to branch out on his own at Saffron Stables in Newmarket.
