Racing at Carlisle on Sunday is subject to an 8am inspection following 17 millimetres of rain on Saturday.

"The rain has gone through, but it's a bit a wet and soggy so I thought we ought to have a look," said acting clerk of the course Andrew Tulloch.

"It's going to drain away, but it will be heavy ground. We'll just a look in the morning and check we're all right.

"There's no rain forecast overnight. If it stays basically dry we should be OK.

"Tomorrow should be mainly dry. There is talk of some rain coming in, but I'm hoping it will be after four o'clock."

A seven-race card is scheduled for a 12.05 start, with admission free.
