The Niarchos family’s homebred is by the late, world-renowned Japanese sire sensation Deep Impact, who is the source of 53 Group/Grade 1 winners including Study Of Man’s fellow European Classic scorers Beauty Parlour, Fancy Blue, Saxon Warrior and Snowfall.
Deep Impact was by US Horse of the Year Sunday Silence, who became a breed-shaping multiple champion sire after his sale to Japan, out of German Group 1 winner and Oaks runner-up Wind In Her Hair.
Study Of Man’s dam is Second Happiness. She is a placed daughter of Storm Cat, a prolific source of top-flight winners, and the wonderful ten-time Group/Grade 1 winner Miesque.
Study Of Man, who is standing at Lanwades at a fee of £12,500 in 2022, is one of 12 Group/Grade 1 winners to descend from Miesque in the female line, including her influential sire son Kingmambo and recent Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf victress Loves Only You.
