The son of Cape Cross has excelled in his second career, having won the 2,000 Guineas, Derby, Eclipse, Juddmonte International, Irish Champion Stakes and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe in his racing pomp.

He is the source of 143 black-type horses in total, with 53 Pattern winners among them. His roll of honour is headed by 16 top-level scorers, who include superstars such as Baaeed, Crystal Ocean, Harzand, Sea Of Class, Sea The Moon, Stradivarius and Taghrooda.

There should be plenty more to come from Sea The Stars, too. He has 14 two-year-old winners to his name, and they include Solario Stakes victor Reach For The Moon as well as the exciting unbeaten first-time-out scorers Antarah, Eclair De Lumiere, Emily Upjohn, Sea The Sky and Subastar.

His yearlings sold for an average of 190,000gns, topped by a full-sister to Group 1-placed filly Star Terms who sold to Godolphin for 1,500,000gns and a colt out of Musidora Stakes winner So Mi Dar who was bought by Charlie Gordon-Watson and Woodford Racing for 1,200,000gns.
