Alan King outlines plans for star juveniles

Gibralfaro will tackle the Adonis Hurdle at Kempton later this month en route to a possible outing in the JCB Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

The four-year-old has struck on each of his two British starts for Alan King after scoring on multiple occasions on the level when in France.

He ran out a cosy winner at Ascot last month, but King feels he needs another outing more than his other Triumph contenders Sceau Royal and Who Dares Wins.

The trainer said: "Gibralfaro goes for the Adonis, while Sceau Royal and Who Dares Wins will head straight to Cheltenham.

"We have decided to give Gibralfaro another run as he has only had two runs. Oceane is still in the Triumph and he will probably run the same day in the Dovecote, but he is probably more of an Aintree horse."

Who Dares Wins finished fourth in his trial event at Cheltenham last week but King felt he had his excuses, while he is eager to see how Ivanovich Gorbatov performs for Aidan O'Brien at Grade One level at Leopardstown on Saturday.

He added: "Who Dares Wins was just a bit gassy at Cheltenham. They were racing from a long way out. I still think the world of him and I still think he is in the mix. Along with the Paul Nicholls horse he didn't quite get up the hill as it ended up being a bit of a slog.

"A lot depends on how the Aidan O'Brien horse goes this weekend."
