The Tattersalls Ireland Ascot February Sale to be held on Tuesday 23rd February has attracted a catalogue of ninety entries with a further twenty five places made available for Wild Card entries.

The combination of record breaking returns in 2015 at Ascot Sales along with Tattersalls Ireland now being at the helm has not gone un-noticed by vendors. They have supported the first sale of the year with a quality collection of bloodstock which will appeal to a wide audience of clients.

Godolphin consign sixteen entries
The success of previous graduates from the Darley consignments at Ascot Sales received a timely reminder last weekend with Shrewd a £21,000 purchase winning the Listed Scottish County Hurdle. The Godolphin consignment includes National Hunt horses with form namely: LILAC TREE, HADFIELD, PERSONABLE, ARABIC HISTORY, LAST SUMMER and JALINGO. Winning and placed Flat performers:- GLOBAL FORCE, A SOLDIER'S LIFE, FAINTLY, FLYWEIGHT etc.

Breakdown of entries

  • 9 Two year olds, sires represented include - Bahamian Bounty, Dick Turpin, Hellvelyn, Mount Nelson, Notnowcato, Paco Boy, Royal Applause, Sakhee's Secret and Stimulation

  • 51 Flat, NH & Point to Pointers with winning and placed form

  • Fillies and Mares by Clodovil, Dubawi, Kodiac (x2), Invincible Spirit (x2), Kaldounevees, Manduro, Medaglia d'Oro (x2), Sixties Icon, Teofilo (x2), Thousand Words, Zebedee, etc.

Entries are available to be viewed online at tattersalls.ie, with the hard copy catalogue being posted out today (Friday). Wild Card entries will be taken up until 10am Wednesday 17th February.
