Nico de Boinville keen on Altior Cheltenham chance

Nico de Boinville feels Altior could be heading to Cheltenham under the radar.

Nicky Henderson's charge is unbeaten in four runs over timber and whether he has another outing before the Supreme Novices' Hurdle has still to be decided.

With the Willie Mullins-trained Min a red-hot favourite for the Festival opener, De Boinville thinks his ride might not get the recognition his form deserves.

Speaking in his blog for Great British Racing, the jockey said: " We are yet to decide whether we will give him a racecourse gallop or send him out for a run before the Festival. He is very, very fresh at the minute.

"If we get him to Cheltenham in great condition, he has a solid chance in the Supreme on good ground.

"On his Kempton performance, he could be underestimated with all the hype around Min. Altior has learned to settle much better in his races now and seems progressive.

"I'm excited with his Cheltenham chances."
