Dubawi sired the three most expensive yearlings to go through the sales ring in Europe in 2016, whilst his yearling average was in excess of 820,000 guineas.
Four stallions dominated the yearling sales in Europe in 2016. Between them, Dubawi, Galileo, Frankel and Shamardal were responsible for the 18 most expensive yearlings sold.
A filly by Dansili out of High Heeled topped the Tattersalls December Foal sale, the third time in four years the mares’ foal has achieved the feat.
Dark Angel’s 99 yearlings which sold through the sales ring averaged over €165,000. These were conceived when he was commanding a mere €27,500 covering fee.
