Simon Cooper discusses key challenges at Asian Stud Book Conference
Simon Cooper and Sharon O’Regan from Weatherbys have today attended the Asian Stud Book Conference at the Asian Racing Conference.
Sharon attended in her capacity as a European Regional Reviewer for the International Stud Book Committee, the compliance authority for all Thoroughbred Stud Books around the world. Simon Cooper attended in his capacity as Vice Chairman of the ISBC and was presenting on the key challenges facing Thoroughbred breeding and Stud Books.
Key topics discussed were regional issues; horse welfare; biodiversity in the Thoroughbred breed; the use of technologies; the development of breeding and racing in Kuwait after conflict in 1990; and the emerging breeding and racing industry in Pakistan.
