This year the BBAG Yearling Sale will be held on Friday, September 2nd at 10:00 am. As is tradition, the auction will take place during the “Große Woche” in Iffezheim, which runs over a time-span of six racing days from August 27th until September 4th.
This year a total of 256 yearlings will be offered at the Yearling Sale and all the leading German studs and consigners will be represented.
In total, 30 siblings to group-winners will make their way to Iffezheim, six of them to the Group 1 winners Baila Me und Be Fabulous (60), Enora (69), Mystic Lips (75), Turfdonna (155), Empoli (173) and Kamsin (178). Furthermore, horses out of the Group 1 winners Teggiano (91), Amarette (160), Elle Danzig (170) and Enora (172) will be up for auction.
Out of all the yearlings offered, 124, which make up 50 %, are either out of mares worthy of black type or are siblings to black type horses.
In addition, the list of stallions includes: Arakan, Authorized, Azamour, Big Bad Bob, Cacique, Camelot, Champs Elysees, Choisir, Dalakhani, Dutch Art, Elusive City, Exceed and Excel, Fastnet Rock, Footstepsinthesand, Helmet, High Chaparral, Holy Roman Emperor, Hurricane Run, Iffraaj, Kendargent, Lawman, Lethal Force, Manduro, Mastercraftsman, Most Improved, Nathaniel, Nayef, New Approach, Peintre Celebre, Pivotal, Pour Moi, Raven’s Pass, Rip van Winkle, Rock of Gibraltar, Sea the Stars, Siyouni and Teofilo.
As well as current German top 10 stallions such as: Lord of England (7) sire of German Derby hero Isfahan, Areion (6), Adlerflug (6), Soldier Hollow (31), Tertullian (4), Shamardal (2) and Mount Nelson (4).
Very interesting will be the first crop of Dabirsim (9), Maxios (21), Pastorius (8) and Reliable Man (7). All of them are multiple international Group 1 winners.
