Following impressive results on the track having produced two Group 1 winners in two years, the Silver Yearling Sale at Doncaster will offer buyers a larger catalogue of 168 yearlings on Thursday 25 August - the day following the Premier Yearling Sale.

The number catalogued has increased 38 lots on last year’s Silver Sale following the growth of results in the sale ring and Group 1 results on the track having produced MOVE IN TIME who won the Prix de l’Abbaye on Arc Day at Longchamp and the current star filly QUIET REFLECTION (pictured) who won the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot in June.

The Silver Sale has also produced a number of smart two-year-old winners this season including Pleaseletmewin who won at the Newmarket July Festival, five length debut winner Angel Meadow, dual winner Lawless Louis as well as the smart filly Savannah's Dream who found only Ardad too sharp when finishing second in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby commented on the Silver Sale catalogue: “The Silver Sale has been building in stature since it was shifted to its current date in 2014 and to have produced a Royal Ascot Group 1 winner this year really is a dream result. The fact that it also sold recent Group 1 winner Move In Time shows that the sale is very capable of producing top class horses and to its credit it has done so with small but select catalogues.

“This year has seen a 29% jump in numbers catalogued on 2015 so it’s great to see more and more vendors supporting the sale and we will be working hard to ensure that buyers stay in Doncaster following the Premier Sale to buy from the Silver Sale the following day.”
