The Goffs UK Aintree Sale at the Randox Health Grand National Festival is now just over three weeks away and has already attracted entries following its highly successful debut in April last year.

2016 Sale average: £103,333
prices of £335,000, £270,000, £210,000…

The boutique NH Sale of Point-to-Pointers and Form Horses saw 21 horses sell last year for a sale average of £103,333 with six horses selling in excess of £100,000. Topping the sale was Colin Bowe’s SAMCRO who sold to trainer Gordon Elliott for £335,000 – the highest priced Pointer sold in the 2015/16 NH season. Samcro is now raced by Gigginstown House Stud and is unbeaten in two Bumpers, his most recent start at Listed level.

Collin Bowe commented after the sale that he was “delighted with Samcro’s price” and that “the sale was very well run, was well advertised in the build-up and the big owners and trainers were there. We were very impressed.”

Samcro was one of three horses sold in excess of £200,000 with GIVE ME A COPPER selling to Tom Malone for £270,000 and BLACK OP selling to Roger Brookhouse for £210,000. Both horses have since won on the track this season with Black Op winning his debut Bumper in late February on his only start to date. CARTER MCKAY is another promising horse to come out of the sale and is unbeaten in two Bumper starts to date. He was purchased by David Redvers for £160,000 and heads to the Gr.1 Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival this week.

The 2017 Aintree Sale will be held after racing on the opening day of the Randox Health Grand National Festival on Thursday 6 April. To nominate your horses for the sale, nominate online here or contact the Goffs UK team on +44 (0)1450 372222.
