The dual Listed and Group 2 placed Twilight Payment topped a good day’s trade at Goffs Autumn Horses In Training Sale yesterday when selling to Kerr & Co Ltd for €200,000.  The 5yo gelding by Teofilo (Lot 690) is out of a half-sister to Ribblesdale winner Banimpire and was consigned by Glebe House Stables.

Another six figure sale was that of the two time winner and Listed placed Mazzuri, a three year old daughter of Raven’s Pass (Lot 671), who was sold by Rathbride Stables to Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock and Amanda Perrett for €120,000.

Other highlights included Admirality (Lot 703 - pictured) from Johnny Murtagh’s Fox Covert Stables. Twice a winner, the four year old Mount Nelson gelding was bought by Colm Sharkey and Roger Fell for €80,000. Moyneard Stables’ winning Footstepsinthesand colt Krispen (Lot 666) headed BBA Ireland’s purchases yesterday when selling for €70,000, while the Aga Khan Studs draft included the impressive 2yo Siyouni colt Vidiyni (Lot 604) who has been placed three times and was bought for €68,000 by Qatar-based trainer Debbie Mountain and Hassan Abdul Malik.

Following the sale Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby said:

“Today’s Horses-In-Training Sale has demonstrated yet again that we can and consistently do deliver the best prices for the category. Indeed this is a sector of the market in which we think we have so much more to offer but lack the numbers to attract a bigger group of buyers. That said we have sold horses to the Gulf Region and across Europe today which will only serve to inspire us to redouble our efforts to grow the catalogue in 2019, following a sale that has returned growth in every statistic.

For now we extend our thanks to each vendor and every purchaser, and wish them luck with their latest Goffs graduates”.
