Five Wildcards added to Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale

Five wildcards have been added to the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale that takes place from Monday, October 30 until Friday, November 3.

The first of the five to be offered is the Ian Williams-trained three-year-old gelding THE STATESMAN (pictured) who will be offered as lot 317A. The son of ZOFFANY looks an exciting dual-purpose type with impressive victories at Sandown and Newmarket followed by a 16 length romp at Ludlow on his Hurdle debut. He will be consigned from Williams’ Dominion Racing Stables with a Timeform rating of 103 on the flat.

Following straight after will be the Michael Appleby-trained four-year-old BIG COUNTRY. The son of HIGH CHAPARRAL is catalogued as lot 317B and has a Timeform rating of 113 following a run of high-class recent form that includes a second in the John Smith’s Cup at York.

Ted Walsh’s Greenhills Farm offers the two-year-old gelding CASTLETOWNSHEND as lot 585A. The son of EQUIANO finished second beaten a head on his only start at Naas 10 days ago over 6 furlongs and has received a Timeform rating of 84p on the back of it.

The fourth wildcard is the four-year-old UDONTDODOU who is catalogued as lot 585B. The son of FASTNET ROCK will be consigned from Richard Guest’s Ingmanthorpe Racing Stables with a Timeform rating of 109 having won two of his last three starts at Chelmsford.

The last of the quintet of wildcards is the Richard Hannon-trained two-year-old ALBISHR who is catalogued as lot 928A. The son of Clodovil was placed second in the Listed Stonehenge Stakes on his third start before running into leading Guineas and Derby hopes ELARQAM and KEW GARDENS on his next two runs. He is officially rated 101 and carries a Timeform rating of 99.
