Teofilo filly leads the way at Goffs Open Sale

A large group of international buyers were in action throughout the opening session of the two day Goffs Open Yearling Sale yesterday where trade was headed by a well related Teofilo filly from Moorpark Stud (Lot 256). Out of a sister to the Grade 1 EP Taylor Stakes and Prix Jean Romanet winner Folk Opera, the filly was knocked down to Rabbah Bloodstock for €62,000.

BBA Ireland topped the buyers list by some margin, signing for a remarkable 31 yearlings on behalf of Chinese owner Yuesheng Zhang, among which was Lot 262, a daughter of Shamardal out of a half-sister to Stakes winner My Renee, dam of Banimpire. Consigned by Lumville Farm, she sold for €32,000. Another highlight of the BBA purchases was a filly by Dragon Pulse out of the Group placed Italian filly Madda’s Force (Lot 232) that was sold by the Irish National Stud for €31,000.
