Unbeaten 2yo Frankel filly Toulifaut an outstanding wild card for Arqana Arc Sale

The Arqana Arc Sale is gaining an outstanding wild card entry with the addition of TOULIFAUT, who will sell as lot 25. The Jean-Claude Rouget trainee who runs in the colours of Andy Smith is a particularly rare proposition at auction as she combines a faultless race record with a blueblood pedigree.

Toulifaut is by the phenomenal Frankel, whose first crop keeps impressing on the track and already boasts four Listed and Group winners. Her dam is the highly talented CASSYDORA, who took the Gr.3 Hillsborough Stakes as well as a pair of Listed races and also ran 2nd to the champion Alexander Goldrun in the Gr.1 Nassau Stakes. Cassydora has already produced ERNEST HEMINGWAY, a colt by Galileo who has three Group 3 titles to his name. Her yearling is a full sister to Toulifaut and she delivered a filly by Galileo this year, hence an own sister to Ernest Hemingway.

Toulifaut’s second and third dams are also Group winners and the Group 1-winning juvenile ZOFFANY, now a promising young sire on the Coolmore roster, also features on the page.

Toulifaut posted a comfortably victory on her debut at Clairefontaine this summer, a race in which the runner-up was the subsequent wide-margin winner DOUBLE LADY, with subsequent Listed scorer RYSKA back in third. Her next outing took place on the Deauville all-weather track and looked no more strenuous than a morning gallop. She was then stepped up to Pattern level and was always in control when landing the Prix d’Aumale Gr.3 at Chantilly.

Now rated 107, TOULIFAUT will sell with her entry in the Prix Marcel Boussac (Gr.1), to be run the next day at Chantilly and in which she will be among the favourites.
