The son of Galileo, whose oldest crop are only four-year-olds, was barely out of the headlines in the past 12 months, firing in one stakes scorer after another.

They were led by Prix de Royallieu heroine Loving Dream, Group 2 winners Baby Rider, Insinuendo, Novemba and Velocidad and Group 3 scorer Tabera.

Gleneagles’ pedigree was also upgraded once again this year, with his full-sister Joan Of Arc becoming their dam You’resothrilling’s fourth Group 1 winner, along with Happily and Marvellous, by landing the Prix de Diane. Their two-year-old sister Toy was also a highly promising second in a Curragh maiden on her sole run.

Gleneagles commands a fee of €15,000 at Coolmore in 2022.
