Publication of The Return of Mares 2015 in early November revealed breeding figures up to the end of September last year. The complete 2015 figures have now been completed and are available in the Return of Mares Supplement, that is sent to all purchasers of the Return of Mares 2015, providing the complete picture for the past breeding season.
The significant growth in the Irish foal crop, identified in November, was carried through to year-end totaling 8,780 foals, compared with 7,999 in 2014 (up 9%). The increase in the GB foal crop was also maintained through to year end with 4,569 foals registered compared with 4,328 in 2014 (up 5%) at the same time in the prior year.
