Charlie Fellowes hoping Repercussion can claim Lincoln rewards

Charlie Fellowes believes Repercussion has the right sort of profile to be a major contender in the 32Red Lincoln at Doncaster on March 24.

The former Andre Fabre-trained five-year-old ended last season on a winning note after posting a decisive victory in a mile handicap at Newmarket in September.

Fellowes said: "Repercussion looks great and he is in really good form. He came back in early with the Lincoln in mind."

He added: "He has been in since the middle of December. It is so far so good and he is on track to be ready for late March.

"Obviously he went up 10lb for his win at Newmarket last time, but he was in a different league and he was always going to go up quite a lot for that.

"He had the first-time tongue tie last time and it worked and we are all praying that it will do the trick again. If it does he will be competitive.

"I think the big field over a mile is perfect for him. The track and the conditions will suit him.

"The one issue I would have was if it was really soft ground. I hope it won't be a bog as that is a massive negative. As long as it is not, he should relish the conditions of the race."

Repercussion has been allotted 9st 1lb in the Lincoln following the publication of the weights on Wednesday.

Crazy Horse and Lord Glitters have been handed joint-top weight of 9st 10lb, while Zabeel Prince (9st 9lb), Mitchum Swagger (9st 8lb) and former winner Gabrial (9st 7lb) are others towards the top of the list.
