A quality session of Point-to-Pointers and a huge buying bench featuring purchasers from throughout Europe ensured a brilliant opening day of the Goffs UK January Sale at Doncaster.

The sale produced phenomenal results at the top of the market with supplementary entries in the Point-to-Point/Form Horse Session including two Irish Point-to-Pointers which sold in excess of £200,000. Both lots sold in quick succession with Donnchadh Doyle’s 5YO Phoenix Way (Lot 73) and Michael Goff’s Dickie Diver (Lot 70) both knocked down to Tim Hyde for £270,000 and £210,000 respectively. Colin Bowe’s Lorvon Pearl (Lot 67) also attracted plenty of interest when selling to Eamonn Phelan for £90,000.

Day two of the sale will commence at 10am today and will offer a top-quality line up of NH foals, Stores and Breeding Stock. Today’s session will feature the Trull House Stud Dispersal, a 26-strong draft of regally bred filly foals, two and three-year-olds by leading NH sires and Breeding Stock from the finest NH families which will feature attractive coverings.
