The two-day Goffs UK Autumn Sale at Doncaster kicked off today with the yearling session which saw 110 lots offered and the sale will continue tomorrow with 294 Horses-in-Training from 10am.

Doncaster yearlings have had a superb year on the track headed by Gr.1 winning 3YOs BARNEY ROY and HARRY ANGEL and Gr.1 winning 2YO LAURENS and today’s yearling session offered buyers the final opportunity to secure a Goffs UK yearling for 2017. Today’s session saw 82 horses sold, representing a clearance rate of 76%, and was topped by Mickley Stud’s Heeraat colt, Lot 58 (pictured), who was purchased by Tim Easterby for £20,000.

Tomorrow’s Horses-in-Training session will offer almost 60 entries from Godolphin and Shadwell and horses from trainers including Jonjo O’Neill, John Gosden, Kevin Ryan, Richard Fahey, Willie Mullins, etc. Doncaster Horses-in-Training graduates have also had a strong year on the track with Gr.2 winner THOMAS HOBSON winning at Royal Ascot in June and LABAIK and TIGER ROLL claiming a Graded double at the Cheltenham Festival in March. The sale will continue tomorrow at 10am.
