The catalogue for the 2019 Goffs UK September Horses-in-Training & Yearling Sale at Doncaster is now online and will feature the annual Gigginstown House Stud Dispersal and for the first time this year, a yearling session.

A total of 357 horses have been catalogued for the 2019 sale which will offer 101 yearlings on Tuesday 17 September from 1pm and 256 horses-in-training on Wednesday 18 September from 10am.

The yearling session, which has been moved from its previous date at the Doncaster Autumn Sale, will feature yearlings by sires including Brazen Beau, Cable Bay, Equiano, Footstepsinthesand, Garswood, Gutaifan, Holy Roman Emperor, Hot Streak, Kodi Bear, Lethal Force, Mehmas, Outstrip, Pearl Secret, Territories, Twilight Son etc.

Wednesday’s horses-in-training session is headed by the Gigginstown House Stud Dispersal which will feature 31 entries. The annual dispersal has proven a successful source of future talent selling the likes of subsequent $100,000 Maryland Hunt Cup winner Guts For Garters and the dual winner, Graded placed and Grand National runner Folsom Blue. The draft will offer every lot without reserve and features a number of house-hold names such as Graded winners ARKWRISHT, A TOI PHIL, BALL D'ARC, BLOW BY BLOW, MITCHOUKA, PRINCE OF SCARS, RATHNURE REBEL, TOMBSTONE, VALSEUR LIDO (pictured) etc.

The horses-in-training session will offer sizable drafts from Shadwell and Paul & Clare Rooney featuring 19 and 16 entries respectively. Recent 2019 winners from Shadwell’s draft include Khafeef, Raphael, Ustath and Jilbaab while Paul & Clare Rooney’s draft will feature 2019 winners Who's My Jockey, Must See The Doc, Nimby and Now Look At Me.

The sale will also offer last start Bumper winners Don’t Bet On It, Flying Risk, Druim Samhraidh and Spark To A Flame and drafts from Alan King, Andrew Balding, Charlie Hills, Clive Cox, Colin Bowe, Dan Skelton, David Pipe, Dermot Weld, Gordon Elliott, Harry Fry, Hugo Palmer, Ian Williams, Iain Jardine, Jessica Harrington, Joseph O'Brien, Juddmonte Farms, Karl Burke, Mark Johnston, Mick Channon, Nicky Henderson, Philip Hobbs, Richard Fahey, Richard Hannon, Sir Michael Stoute, Sir Mark Prescott etc.

Goffs UK Managing Director Tony William’s commented:

“The sale will offer yearlings for the first time this year as we decided to move the session away from our Autumn Sale in order to provide a better date for our consignors to offer their horses. The yearling session will start at the later time of 1pm on the opening day, thus allowing buyers plenty of time to inspect the horses before the sale starts.

“The horses-in-training session looks well poised to continue what has been another very strong year in the ring for our HIT sales with some large drafts from leading owners and trainers – those of course headlined by the Gigginstown House Stud Dispersal which has developed into an annual highlight.”
