Great Heavens put up an impressive and timely display in the bet365 Lancashire Oaks at Haydock Park.

Fifty minutes before her full-brother Nathaniel was due to line up in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown, the lightly raced filly added a Group Two contest to the family haul in convincing fashion.

Rab Havlin set out to make it a stamina test on the John Gosden-trained 11-4 favourite and she duly obliged to make it three wins from as many starts this season.

Shimmering Sea tried hard to keep tabs on Great Heavens, but made no impression in the final furlong and was beaten five lengths at the line. The Queen's filly Set To Music was third, a further length and a quarter away.

"She keeps improving. She was getting 13lb from the older horses so I thought I would make it a good gallop and make them pay for it," said Havlin.

"The family improve with age so I'm sure there's more to come. She galloped all the way to the line and I eased her up."
