Race Verdict

Balty Boys is the clear pick on his fourth in the Group 1 Middle Park back in October but the rest of his form last year doesn't have him streets ahead, while Samitar has a few questions to answer taking on the boys over this trip having produced her two best performances of last season over 7f and 1m, the pick of which coming when a head second to Lyric Of Light in the Group 1 Fillies' Mile. Likely to head the betting, both might be worth taking on with MUARRAB. Ed Dunlop's Oasis Dream colt built on a promising Goodwood debut when cosily opening his account at Lingfield two weeks ago, justifying some heavy support in the process, and he looks the type to go on to bigger things this year. Debut winners Solar Deity and Valbchek catch the eye, while Swiss Spirit has strong juvenile form to his name and completes the shortlist.

Selection: Muarrab        Danger: Balty Boys        Alternative: Samitar
