Race Verdict

Otter Mist has been contesting decent handicaps over shorter trips in recent times but is respected this afternoon now eased in grade over this extended 3m2f. However, preference is for REFERENT, who is expected to show some improvement now fitted with the first-time visor. Sophie Leech's gelding finished well-beaten at Ayr on his debut for the Elton-based handler but is worth another look on better ground. Showman completes the shortlist.

Selection: Referent        Danger: Otter Mist        Alternative: Showman
