Race Verdict

LOVE GROWS WILD showed only glimmers of ability in three runs over 6f as a juvenile but she should prove capable of much better now with another winter under her belt. An opening handicap mark of 56 looks reasonable with the step up to 7f likely to suit. Umph made all and won with plenty in hand over 7f at Kempton last month and he looks a leading player despite a 8lb rise. Johnny Cavagin narrowly got the better of Emma Jean over this C&D last time and the pair are very closely matched here with the runner-up reopposing on 1lb better terms.

Selection: Love Grows Wild        Danger: Umph        Alternative: Johnny Cavagin
