Race Verdict

Crowning Star gained reward for a series of near misses at plating level when landing a 1m handicap at Lingfield when last sighted. Having his first start for a new trainer tonight, he is weighted to go well off 2lb higher. Preference, however, is for EASTERN AMOUR, who makes his handicap debut off a workable mark this evening and could be sharpened up by the fitting of first-time blinkers. The booking of Jimmy Fortune suggests a big run is expected from Casa Bex, who was outpaced over 7f at Kempton latest, while Macy Anne has been handed a fair mark and cannot be left out of calculations either.

Selection: Eastern Amour        Danger: Crowning Star        Alternative: Casa Bex
