It is interesting that Ruby Walsh prefers SILVINIACO CONTI over Join Together. The former was a little below par at Ascot in February but comes here fresh having missed the Cheltenham Festival, whilst the latter pulled up in the RSA Chase and needs to bounce back. There is nothing between the pair on official ratings but the fact that Silviniaco Conti has been targeted at this race tilts the balance in his favour. Champion Court finished runner-up to new Gold Cup favourite Sir Des Champs in the Jewson Novices' Chase at Cheltenham and consequently has the highest rating in the line-up. This trip might just stretch him, though, and he also needs to prove that his Cheltenham exertions have not left a mark. Solix finished well beaten in that contest but the step up in trip could help him.
