Race Verdict

Gabrial The Great was well fancied on his debut for Michael Bell over 1m here last September and is entitled to have improved over the winter so cannot be completely ruled out. Preference, however, is for TRADE COMMISSIONER. John Gosden's son of Montjeu finished a respectable third on his Kempton debut a fortnight ago and can be expected to have come on plenty for that initial experience, while his stablemate Widyaan is another for the shortlist following his debut second at Lingfield.

Selection: Trade Commissioner        Danger: Gabrial The Great        Alternative: Widyaan
