Race Verdict

MON CHEVALIER is in good heart at present and the form of his Stratford second last month was handed a boost when the winner, Take Of Shoc's, won again at Chepstow earlier this week. He edges the call over Upthemsteps, who is nicely handicapped over fences off 12lb lower than his current hurdles mark. Romanesco is also beginning to look well treated and he is worth a second glance, along with Mallusk.

Selection: Mon Chevalier        Danger: Upthemsteps        Alternative: Romanesco
