Race Verdict

Plenty of these displayed promise at two, not least Qannaas and Periphery, who have C&D seconds to their names, while Poole Harbour and Flaxen Flare have also shown enough to suggest they will be winning races before too long. Courage, Cogito and Moss Hill all take the eye on paper and appeal most of the newcomers, but MUTAFAAKIR went into a few notebooks when finishing third to the highly regarded Born To Surprise on his Doncaster debut at the beginning of the month and with his race fitness assured, he looks the most solid option.

Selection: Mutafaakir        Danger: Qannaas        Alternative: Periphery
