Race Verdict

There was plenty of promise to take from CEILING KITTY's debut run at Kempton as she overcame a tardy start to finish her race off well and grab second, very much hinting she'd improve for the run. Tom Dascombe's filly has bagged an inside draw and, related to winning sprinter Van Go Go, looks a winner in waiting. The main danger appears to be Mayfield Girl, who went down by less than a length on debut in the Brocklesby and should be capable of putting that experience to good use in the weeks to come. Hillbilly Boy was a beaten favourite on the Fibresand at Southwell last time and is a potential improver now switched in surface.

Selection: Ceiling Kitty        Danger: Mayfield Girl        Alternative: Hillbilly Boy
