Race Verdict

FLAMING GORGE had to settle for second best behind the highly progressive Hunt Ball over 2m5f in a Wincanton handicap last time and there does not appear to be anything of that calibre lurking here so he is fancied to go one better now. Non Dom has some decent form over hurdles last year and is worthy of consideration on his chasing debut. Scotsbrook Could is rated the highest of these over hurdles and that entitles him to some respect even though he has struggled in his two starts over the larger obstacles.

Selection: Flaming Gorge        Danger: Non Dom        Alternative: Scotsbrook Cloud
