Race Verdict

CURRENT EVENT maintained his unbeaten record over fences when completing a hat-trick at Plumpton last time and he makes plenty of appeal on his handicap debut here off a mark of 134 with Harry Derham taking off a handy 7lb. Trooper Clarence returns from a break but he could take a hand if at the top of his game and providing the rain stays away. Oceana Gold and Russian Flag could also feature.

Selection: Current Event        Danger: Trooper Clarence        Alternative: Oceana Gold
